An Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Lord Jesus Christ, I consecrate myself today,
without reserve, to Your Divine Heart.
I consecrate to You my body and with all its senses,
my soul with all its faculties - my will,
my mind, my memory.
I consecrate to Your love all my thoughts,
words and works, my sufferings, hopes,
consolations and joys.
I commend to Your Heart my family, friends
and all those who need Your love.

The love for man, for all people
which fills Your Sacred Heart,
prompts me to pledge my life in return for that love.
I desire to live in union with You,
strengthened by the Eucharist,
Your Sacrament of love and unity.
I wish to share in Your mission of bringing
the Father's love to all people.

May Your Heart ever be for me,
the symbol of self-sacrificing love and the promise of eternal life.

A Morning Prayer

As morning breaks I think of you, O Lord
and my desire is to serve You joyfully.

With gladness, I consecrate this day 
to Your Sacred Heart and offer whatever
joys and sacrifices may come my way.

Thank You for the graces You will send, 
all the love, all the beauty and
the ways You will answer my prayers.

Today, may I love my enemies 

and treat others as I would ask to be treated;

may I forgive seventy times seven and show mercy;

may I welcome the prodigal, 

have compassion for the Samaritan;

be a peace-maker and love my neighbor unconditionally.

Take all my heart and mind and strength, 
O Lord, that this day may be truly lived
for Your greater honor and glory
and for the salvation of souls. Amen.

Here is a simple prayer, asking God's assistance in our daily actions and actions that we have neglected. May we learn to discern to do good and act in accordance with God's plans and not our own will.

Eternal Father,
I offer Thee the Sacred Hearts of Jesus,
with all its love,
all its sufferings and all its merits.

First - To expiate all the sins
I have committed this day
and during all my life.  Gloria Patri.

Second - To purify the good
I have done poorly this day
and during all my life. Gloria Patri.

Third - To supply for the good
I ought to have done, and
that I have neglected this day and all my life.
