ACT OF REPARATION

Today is the First Friday of December and of the new Advent year. This is a special day of commemorating the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Many have lost the true spirit and heart of the Advent Season. It is vital that we, as true followers of Christ, go forward with celebrating the birth of Christ this December, be ready by remembering our true faith, our fidelity; and know and act upon the true presence of Our Lord. As we do, let us all together pray the Act of Reparation, not only to remind ourselves of our sins but also of those who have sinned against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and remind ourselves of its glorious significance as the Sacred, Sweet, King, Infinite, Amiable and Divine love and mercy truly available for everyone.

ACT OF REPARATION TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

O Sacred Heart of Jesus,
animated with a desire to repair the outrages
unceasingly offered to Thee,
we prostrate before Thy throne of mercy,
and in the name of all mankind,
pledge our love and fidelity to Thee.

The more Thy mysteries are blasphemed,
the more firmly we shall believe them,
O Sacred Heart of Jesus!
The more impiety endeavors
to extinguish our hope of immortality,
the more we shall trust in Thy Heart,
sole Hope of mankind!

The more hearts resist Thy Divine attractions,
the more we shall love Thee,
O infinitely amiable Heart of Jesus!
The more unbelief attacks Thy Divinity,
the more humbly and profoundly we shall adore It,
O Divine Heart of Jesus!

The more Thy holy laws are transgressed and ignored,
the more we shall delight to observe them,
O most holy Heart of Jesus!
The more Thy Sacraments
are despised and abandoned,
the more frequently we shall receive them
with love and reverence, O most generous Heart of Jesus!

The more the imitation of Thy virtues
is neglected and forgotten,
the more we shall endeavor to practice them,
O Heart, model of every virtue!
The more the devil labors to destroy souls,
the more we shall be inflamed with desire to save them,
O Heart of Jesus, zealous Lover of souls!

The more sin and impurity destroy
the image of God in man,
the more we shall try by purity of life
to be a living temple of the Holy Spirit,
O Heart of Jesus!
The more Thy Holy Church is despised,
the more we shall endeavor to be her faithful children,
O Sweet Heart of Jesus!

The more Thy Vicar on earth is persecuted,
the more will we honor him as
the infallible head of Thy Holy Church,
show our fidelity and pray for him,
O kingly Heart of Jesus!

O Sacred Heart, through Thy powerful grace,
may we become Thy apostles in the midst of a corrupted world,
and be Thy crown in the kingdom of Heaven. Amen.

Prayer of Confidence

Lord Jesus Christ, I have full confidence only in You.
Only in you, do I put my whole trust.
You have stayed at my side always.
Giving me all your love and mercy.
You have never failed me.
All I ask is that you give me now
the necessary strength and courage to live my life
in complete accordance with God the Father.
Keep me in your Sacred Heart
and keep me under your mighty protection.

Prayer of Confidence to the Sacred Heart of Jesus!

Oh Lord Jesus Christ, to Your most Sacred Heart
I confide this intention {name petition}.
Only look upon me, then do what Your love inspires.
Let Your Sacred Heart decide. I count on You.
I trust in You. I throw myself on Your mercy.
Lord Jesus, You will not fail me.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Your love for me.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, Your kingdom come.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I have asked You for many favors,
but I earnestly implore this one.
Take it, place it in Your open Heart.
When the Eternal Father looks upon it,
He will see it covered with Your Precious Blood.
It will be no longer my prayer, but Yours, Jesus.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.
Let me not be disappointed. Amen.

A PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART

A PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

O Lord, I pray that in my home,
peace, quiet and well being may prevail
under the shadow of your holy mantle.
Bless and protect, O Lord,
my endeavors, my enterprises, and
all those who depend on me
and everything that I long for and desire.

Banish from my mind and my heart
false ideas and evil sentiments.
Infuse in me a love of my neighbor
and grant me the means to help him.
Give me resignation and fortitude
of spirit in time of adversity,
so that I may rise above the contradiction of life.
Guide and protect, O Lord,
my own who are exposed to the dangers
and contingencies of the world.

Do not forget, O my Jesus,
our loved ones with whom we were
united in life and whose departure
from this earth caused us sorrow,
at the same time consoled by the thought that,
because they remained faithful to You,
You did not abandon them at the hour of death.
Have pity on them, O Lord,
and bring them to their eternal glory in heaven. Amen!

A Consecration Prayer to the Heart of Jesus

My Blessed Sacrament Visit

Here is a beautiful prayer to the Heart of Jesus, the source of divine love and mercy. These past few months, when I go for daily mass, it has been a practice of mine that after I receive the Holy Eucharist, I proceed to the Blessed Sacrament.  There I do not only acknowledge that I receive my God, His precious body through my mouth, but also I receive him in my eyes, in my heart and mind. I accept Him totally in my life.

The consecration prayer below is one that I have encountered that I learned to pray in the Blessed Sacrament. Despite my sins, it gives me the much needed peace in my heart and serenity in my mind knowing that despite being a sinner, He welcomes me and I am one with Christ.

Please go visit the Blessed Sacrament and say this prayer and allow yourself to be united with Him through his Sacred Heart.

A Consecration Prayer to the Heart of Jesus

O Jesus, we know that You are sweet,
That You have given your heart for us.
It was crowned with thorns by our sins.
We know that today You still pray for us
so that we will not be lost.
Jesus, remember us if we fall into sin
through Your most Sacred Heart,
make us all love one another.
Cause hatred to disappear among men.
Show us Your love.  All of us love You.
And we desire that you protect us
with Your Heart of the Good Shepherd.

Enter into each heart, Jesus!
Knock, on the door of our hearts.
Be patient and tenacious with us.
We are still locked in ourselves,
because we have not understood
Your holy will for our lives.
Knock continuously, Oh Jesus.
Make our hearts open to you,
at least when we remember the passion
which you suffered for us. Amen.

CONSECRATION OF THE FAMILY

Last October 24, my husband was kind enough to drive me to the picturesque Monasterio de Tarlac which was situated in the mountainous ridges of Tarlac. There, Abe and I consecrated our family and we did it in front of the relic of the Holy Cross of Jesus Christ, which was located in a chest at the altar of the chapel of the Monasterio. We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to touch the chest containing the relic as a couple. Together praying for unity in our marriage, conversion of its members and peace in our immediate family.

For all parents and couples out there, I truly suggest that you say this prayer regularly.  There is a dire need for us to realize the importance of Jesus Christ in the midst of our relationships, our homes and our lives.  To welcome Jesus into our hearts, ask for Mother Mary's maternal protection and be of service of others as well.

CONSECRATION OF THE FAMILY

Almighty Father, we consecrate ourselves and
our home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
who loves us with a tender and everlasting love.
Strengthen us with Your grace that we might
return His love in the way we treat,
respect and love each other.

We welcome Jesus as a living member
of our family and ask Him
to be the Heart of the family.
We accept Mary as our heavenly Mother
and seek her protection and help in our daily lives.

Heavenly Father, grant our love may go
beyond our home into the world
so that we may do our part to build Your kingdom,
to feed the hungry, to help the poor, and to lead all
souls to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer for Relationships

Earlier today, I read a Facebook article (and prayer below) regarding marital relationship and how to make your marriage successful. It explicitly indicated that Jesus needs to be in the midst of the relationship. Our trust and love for Jesus, will strengthen and put true joy, understanding and happiness in married lives. For the relationship to be stronger, we should continue to pray to the Lord Jesus, and ask him to bind the marriage and hold our hearts in his Sacred Heart.  With him in the midst, we will experience blessings, guidance and prosperity.

Continue to acknowledge his presence through consistent prayer. Ask for his guidance and surrender your life and your spouse to Him. Daily prayer with your spouse is vital for the relationship to last and faith and trust to overcome the temptations.

Pray together.  Pray the rosary, go to Mass and have total faith and trust in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Remember that all trials are temporary and you can overcome with complete faith and trust in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Prayer for Relationships

"Dear God, thank you so much for bringing us
together again as a couple.
We know that you have a plan and
a purpose for our marriage,
and we invite you, Lord Jesus,
to forgive the past self-centeredness,
and come into our lives and relationship.
Direct our steps from now on.
Please give us the grace to put You
and each other first every day.
Make our relationship a blessing to others.
But most of all; make it a blessing to You. Amen."
